Tipo: Lima ácida

Variedad triploide de lima originada de manera espontánea en Tahití. El vigor del árbol es medio, con abundantes espinas pequeñas. La variedad es reflorescente y no posee polen viable.

El fruto es de tamaño grande para ser lima. Forma oval, oblonga o casi elíptica. Cuello muy pequeño en la base y mamelón apical pequeño. Zumo muy ácido con sabor y aroma característicos de las limas. Corteza fina. Sin semillas.

De rápida entrada en producción y recolección muy precoz, en primera temporada. Algo más sensible al frío que los limoneros.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL FRUTO: Peso: 90 - 100  Diámetro: 53 - 55   Forma: Ovalada, diámetro / altura = 0,87  Corteza (mm): 1,8 – 2,2  Color: Amarillo en madurez (diciembre) aunque se recolecta antes, cuando la corteza esta todavía verde.  % Zumo: 50 - 55  Semillas: No. Fructificación: Media. Recolección: 1 septiembre – 30 noviembre.

Type: Acid lime

Triploid variety of lime originating spontaneously in Tahiti. The tree is of medium vigor, with abundant small thorns. The variety is reflorescent and has no viable pollen.

The fruit is large for a lime. Oval, oblong or almost elliptical in shape. Very small neck at the base and small apical nipple. Very acidic juice with a characteristic flavour and aroma of limes. Thin rind. Seedless.

Quick to start producing and very early harvesting, in the first season. Somewhat more sensitive to cold than lemon trees.

FRUIT CHARACTERISTICS: Weight: 90 - 100 Diameter: 53 - 55 Shape: Oval, diameter / height = 0.87 Rind (mm): 1.8 - 2.2 Colour: Yellow when ripe (December), although it is harvested earlier, when the rind is still green. % Juice: 50 - 55 Seeds: No. Fruiting: Medium. Harvest: 1 September - 30 November.

AGRONOMIC OBSERVATIONS: Very sensitive to cold, the fruits fall as soon as the temperature drops to 3 or 4ºC.
