El Citrofortunella floridana, también conocido como limequat, es un híbrido de lima y kumquat. Es un árbol cítrico pequeño, de crecimiento lento. Las hojas son ovaladas, de color verde brillante, y miden de 5 a 10 cm de largo. Las flores son de color blanco. 

Los frutos son ovoides o redondos, de 2 a 5 cm de largo, y tienen una piel delgada y comestible. La pulpa es jugosa y de color amarillo, y tiene un sabor ácido y refrescante.

El limequat es una fruta versátil que se puede consumir fresca, en ensaladas, postres o platos cocinados. También se puede utilizar para hacer jugos, mermeladas y conservas.

La planta requiere un suelo bien drenado y una exposición soleada o parcialmente soleada. El riego debe ser regular, pero sin encharcar la planta.

Citrofortunella floridana, also known as limequat, is a hybrid of lime and kumquat. It is a small, slow-growing citrus tree. The leaves are oval, bright green, and 5 to 10 cm long. The flowers are white. 

The fruits are ovoid or round, 2 to 5 cm long, and have a thin, edible skin. The pulp is juicy and yellow, and has a refreshing, acidic taste.

Limequat is a versatile fruit that can be consumed fresh, in salads, desserts or cooked dishes. It can also be used to make juices, jams and preserves.

The plant requires well-drained soil and a sunny or partially sunny exposure. Watering should be regular, but without flooding the plant.
