Tipo: Tardío refloreciente

Variedad española de origen desconocido. El árbol es de gran tamaño, con menos espinas que el limonero Fino. Es reflorescente, la viabilidad del polen es de media a baja. La variedad es autocompatible. El fruto es grande, de unos 130 gramos. Alargado. Con cuello en la base y mamelón alargado en el ápice. Color exterior amarillo intenso. Pocas semillas. Corteza gruesa, lo que favorece el transporte. Recolección en segunda y tercera temporada (febrero-junio). Puede producir además otra cosecha en verano (rodrejos) de gran interés comercial. Actualmente en los viveros se multiplican dos clones de la variedad: Verna 51 y Verna 62, si bien las diferencias son mínimas.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL FRUTO:  Peso: 130 - 170  Diámetro: 65 - 70  Forma: Ovala, Cuello tiene cuello más o menos pronunciado en la región peduncular y mamelón en la zona apical.  Corteza (mm): 6 – 7  Color: Amarillo índice color = -2,5.  % Zumo: 30 - 35  Semillas: 2 - 6. A mayor temperatura en floración, mayor número de semillas.  Fructificación: Alta.  Recolección: 15 febrero – 15 julio. Se inicia la recolección cuando finaliza el limón Fino. La cosecha redrojos es de 15 de julio a 15 de septiembre.

Spanish variety of unknown origin. The tree is large, with fewer thorns than the Fino lemon tree. It flowers again, pollen viability is medium to low. The variety is self-compatible. The fruit is large, about 130 grams. Elongated. With a neck at the base and an elongated nipple at the apex. Intense yellow exterior colour. Few seeds. Thick bark, which makes transportation easier. Harvested in the second and third season (February-June). It can also produce another crop in summer (rodrejos) of great commercial interest. Currently, two clones of the variety are being multiplied in nurseries: Verna 51 and Verna 62, although the differences are minimal.
