Planta alta con floración importante adecuada para flor cortada o para colorear macizos de flores grandes. Prefiere pleno sol. Los tallos en flor deben recogerse cortándolos en la base. Puede sobrevivir incluso en invierno cortando la planta cerca del suelo y cubriendo el stock con paja u hojas. Se siembra en verano para la floración de primavera verano o en primavera para la floración de verano. La semilla debe cubrirse con una capa ligera de tierra.
